In this edition of Classic Business, Presenter John Fraser reported on the main business, financial and economic news of the day in the first half of the programme. John also conducted in-depth interviews with the people making the news: Christo Luüs from EcoQuant South Africa discussed long-term investment returns; Luke Doig from Credit Guarantee reported on the South African Reserve Bank Quarterly Bulletin; Christopher Gilmour from ABSA Investments spoke about SABMiller plc's proposal to acquire the Foster's Group; Michael Spicer of Business Leadership SA discussed job creation and the National Planning Report; and Thys Visser from Remgro reported on the company's annual results.
