Thank you Christo for over two years of loyal and diligent service to Classic FM and its listeners

Christo Lombard is moving on after two years of presenting at Classic FM. Christo is a trained actor, who after training as a presenter at Fine Music Radio was offered an opportunity to be a Presenter of the afternoon drive show at Classic FM.

Christo is veteran, Rodney Trudgeon’s find and protégé. Rodney said of Christo, “The classical music repertoire is varied. Its presentation needs to reflect its variety. Christo’s presentation style is deliberately formal and straight to the point”.

We at Classic FM will remember Christo for his punctuality, diligence and loyalty. He is a willing team player ready to lend a proactive hand or chip in when asked irrespective of the hour of day.

In one of the many letters we receive from the Classic FM listeners, one listener referred to Christo’s style as a discharge of bullets from a machine gun. Later many listeners referred to the same presentation trait as the no frill and fluff they liked.

Classic FM will always be a home for Christo. Don’t be surprised if you hear his voice either as a stand-in presenter or in a station promo.
